I worked as a social media consultant for BBC Africa during their rollout of a number of new broadcast programmes in the region, addressing how they tackled repurposing broadcast content for BBC News Africa’s popular social media channels with audiences of more than 7 million on Facebook and Twitter and 44 million views on YouTube.
Passing on my experiences from working in the BBC Three social media team, I advised on processes to set up between broadcast and digital teams to create an efficient publishing schedule of social content, as well as advising and producing test versions of social media video formats suitable for each channel and social video branding within BBC World Service and BBC News guidelines.
