Social Media Strategy – BBC The One Show

The One Show is a programme broadcast live on BBC One, attracting a daily audience of 5 million viewers. I worked in-house with The One Show team to develop proposals for social media content for the show and identify where there may be opportunities in the show itself.

I worked with the team, shadowing their daily production of the live shows over one week and identifying opportunities for social media content. After shadowing the team, I provided the heads of the show with a comprehensive report outlining social media content opportunities with technical advice on what resources, staff and equipment would be needed to create the content. This led to The One Show launching a Twitter account and hiring its first Social Media Producer.
