I joined Openmind Projects, a digital skills charity based in northeast Thailand, as a volunteer in 2009 to support ecotourism projects with marketing, social media and web content. My first project was on location in the Nam Kading National Protected Area, Laos. I stayed for one month developing marketing materials and writing content for a website.
Since then I have returned a number of times to work in the Openmind Projects head office in Nong Khai, Thailand, working with the co-founders and local staff members of the organisation. I worked on launch of their website, including restructuring and rewriting content, as well as working on their social media strategy. I also ran training sessions with local staff and trainees on internet skills, social media skills and image editing.
In 2016 I was invited to be an Advisory Board member for Openmind Projects, working with other selected Board members globally to advise on future strategy for the organisation.
